POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs the development of a comprehensive
product marketing program during the product
life cycle. The Product Marketing Manager is a
key contributor to long-term product strategy
and is responsible for overseeing efforts to
optimize profitability and capture market share
in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops, communicates, and executes product
marketing plans and go to market strategies for
the global launch of new products (KVM & DCIM).
• Coordinates product introduction and market
exploitation with marketing and sales
organizations to ensure maximum penetration of
market segment.
• Provides continuing product surveillance and
collects customer requirements to feed back into
Product Management team for development of
Market Requirements Documents.
• Translates product features and benefits into
crisp, exciting, fact based and compelling value
propositions, marketing messages which can be
leveraged by PR, sales readiness, industry
analysts, events, etc.
• Defines promotional activities and expands
product awareness through internal
evangelization and externally through analysts,
publicizing the product through the press, and
corporate marketing campaigns.
• Develop and produce collateral content
including corporate and product presentations,
white papers, fact sheets, product briefs, case
studies, competitive comparisons.
• Collaborates on education of field staff and
partners and empowers field staff to drive sales
of products.
• Closely monitors and reacts to revenue trends,
including overall revenue and unit growth,
customer acquisition, channel analysis, product
selection trends, and regional variations.
• Identifies and analyzes competitive and market
intelligence, including market share,
competitive intelligence, analyst reports, and
secondary market characteristics (such as growth
rates and trends in books, user groups, and
product-dedicated websites).
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering,
Information Technology and/or Marketing
• 5+years experience in Product Marketing in
data center, computer or networking technology
• Proven excellence in researching, organizing,
writing, and creatively presenting technical
information
• Strong skills in market analysis, definition
and rollout of marketing programs
• Experience learning and explaining new and
complex technologies
• Capacity to work both independently and in a
team, with multiple organizational and
management levels and functional departments
• Strong project management skills with ability
to handle multiple concurrent projects
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing
environment, to meet deadlines, and to work
under pressure
• Detail oriented with excellent organization
and planning skills
• Strong communication skills coupled with
strategic thinking and analytical skills

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
• Data Center Technology experience
• Knowledge and experience with tools
(Illustrator, Photoshop, flash etc.) to produce
print and web marketing collateral
• Understanding of key technologies and markets
with emphasis on Data Center and Internet
infrastructure equipment
• Familiarity with technology sales and
distribution channels
• DCIM (data center infrastructure management)
experience a plus
